Lifetime Metal Swing Set Review
This swing set has been a beloved piece in our backyard since my children were just babies. It’s stood strong through countless memories—weathering intense storms, powerful winds, and years of sun exposure. But most importantly, it’s been the backdrop for endless hours of laughter, imagination, and joyful chaos.
From giggling babies to adventurous school-aged kids, grandparents pushing swings, and even me joining in on the fun—this swing set has been at the heart of it all. It’s more than just a piece of equipment; it has become a part of our family story.
Here are a few pros and cons we’ve experienced over the years:
Pros –
- The product is made up of high quality material that has been used since my kids were babies and now is still being used as they continue to grow.
- The product comes with the frame, two swings, and trapeze bar. The swings and bar are easy to hold on to and have not caused any blistering of our hands as we have used them.
- The swing set has places for three people to be on it at the same time. It is recommended for ages 3-12 years old. However, I have found it to be strong enough for myself to to swing on and it has definitely been able to keep up with our growing kids.
- This swing set has not tipped over or become damaged during severe weather and wind storms. Several of our friends have purchased other wooden model playsets and these have all either become damaged or blown away during severe weather. Ones that survived the storms, did not keep up with their growing kids as they are not made for older children.
Cons –
- If you have a baby, you will need to purchase a baby swing seperately, as the swings that come with the set are not made for babies.
- Can not move easily and if you have grass near it, you would need to mow around it. You can fix the mowing issues by installing playground flooring or sand in your backyard space where you are putting the swing set.
- Some of the color has faded off of the primary color that I have purchased. I would recommend going with the earthtone color if you are concerned about fading. I think there is less of a chance of fading with that color choice.
- Currently the particular model of this swing set only seems to be in stock for the Earthtone color so if you do not like that color, this could be inconvenient. There are models of swing sets by this brand that are currently available in the Primary Color.
- You may need to anchor down the swing set with concrete footings, as your children grow for extra safety.
My Recomendation:
After having this swing set in our backyard for several years, I can confidently say—it’s been one of the best investments we have made for our family. The Lifetime Swing Set truly lives up to its name. It’s sturdy, reliable, and most importantly, it grows right alongside your kids.
From our babies taking their first swing to older kids chasing countless adventures, this set has handled it all. It has never let us down even when heavy storms and high winds have hit our area.
If you’re looking for backyard play equipment that’s built to last and will bring years of fun and joyful moments to your family, I’d absolutely recommend this one. I hope this review helps you decide whether it’s the right fit for your home too!
